Series: Penn State Logic Seminar Date: Tuesday, April 5, 2005 Time: 2:30 - 3:45 PM Place: 103 Pond Laboratory Speaker: John Clemens, Penn State, Mathematics Title: Borel Reducibility of Coanalytic Equivalence Relations Abstract: I shall consider coanalytic equivalence relations which are upper bounds for the class of Borel equivalence relations under the partial order of Borel reducibility. I will discuss several examples, including ones of intermediate degree and candidates for minimal such relations.
